</div><div style="text-align: left;">This blog is dedicated to those who want to rebuild a set of BBS RS wheels on there own, but would like a do it yourself guide, some tips, or even just a little inspiration. When I was refinishing my wheels, I found that although a lot of good DIY resources are out there, none of them were as complete as I would have liked. This blog aims to fulfill this need for a comprehensive and complete guide.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">I have rebuilt 2 sets of BBS RS wheels, and I have to say it is one of the most fun, time consuming, and rewarding projects that I have worked on. It can be a little bit intimidating at first, but the process is really much easier than you would imagine. This guide will outline the steps that are required to put your wheels back together once they have been refinished. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />

Sometimes those last few bits really set the wheels apart from the crowd. The main part of detailing them is polishing the bolts. This is not for the faint at heart, but either is refinishing a set of wheels from start to finish. </div><div><br /></div><div>I recommend using a cu-tip or similar and applying a tiny amount of paste to each bolt. This isn't as needed if you replaced your bolts, but if you are using stock bolts, it is almost mandatory. Polish the bolts in the same fashion that you polished the lips. This is time consuming but ultimately yields a great set of wheels.</div>SprintA3http://www.blogger.com/profile/02296161015196799886noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4005513066868030832.post-41206199115093043062010-04-04T22:22:00.001-04:002010-04-11T08:37:00.151-04:00<div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi70tFadixrD7LemavzCIJUh6vtGXD7A3ppgUTjApZ4JziPh6HhKiRM55PYCljo43dss6RmAXN1tRbHrbzgxTAZfPJ9SzxCtWrwz6YmK9_3pi-D1wqbb7ADzq5sxC673cyvRcpwYBCNYyc/s1600/Polishing.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 268px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi70tFadixrD7LemavzCIJUh6vtGXD7A3ppgUTjApZ4JziPh6HhKiRM55PYCljo43dss6RmAXN1tRbHrbzgxTAZfPJ9SzxCtWrwz6YmK9_3pi-D1wqbb7ADzq5sxC673cyvRcpwYBCNYyc/s400/Polishing.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5456676236391344306" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>After cleaning the wheels of any excess sealant or residue, it is time to polish. When I was refinishing my wheels, I found that although a lot of good DIY resources are out there, none of them were as complete as I would have liked. This blog aims to fulfill this need for a comprehensive and complete guide.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I have rebuilt 2 sets of BBS RS wheels, and I have to say it is one of the most fun, time consuming, and rewarding projects that I have worked on. It can be a little bit intimidating at first, but the process is really much easier than you would imagine. This guide will outline the steps that are required to re-finish a set of BBS wheels, from purchasing your set all the way up to torquing down that final bolt.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: left;"><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:x-small;">This guide is intended to be used as an aide to the re-assembly of BBS RS wheels.
